Youth Scholarship Program

General info

The Eureka! McConnell Science Museum aims to bring “science to the hands of kids”. The Youth Scholarship Program is designed for those students who need financial assistance to participate in Eureka! Science Camps.

Application process

  • Applications will be accepted up until two weeks prior to the camp start date
  • Applications must be signed be signed by a parent/guardian of the applicant
  • Applications must be complete to be considered

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be under 18 years of age
  • Applicants must provide a current Free/Reduced Lunch approval letter from School District 51 OR a copy of a current Medicaid Card, Marillac Clinic Card, or CHP+ Card
  • Applicants must provide a new application for each camp

Scholarship review & award process

Applications will be reviewed by Eureka! Staff upon receipt to determine eligibility. Approved applications will be awarded a 75% scholarship. Please note that scholarship funds are limited. If funds are depleted, scholarship applications will be placed on hold until further funding is received. Scholarships are available for all youth science camps including Eureka! Day Camps, Eureka! CMU Overnight Camps, Eureka! Expedition Camps, and Eureka! Leadership Camps. Applicants will be limited to three (3) scholarships per calendar year. Of the three (3) scholarships no more than one (1) scholarship will be issued per applicant for:

  • Eureka! Day Camp at the Eureka! McConnell Science Museum
  • EUERKA! CMU Overnight Camp
  • Eureka! Expedition Camp

Registration process

Applicants will be notified of scholarship award and registration process via email. Camp registration will be the responsibility of the applicant. Scholarship approval does not automatically register the applicant into the program.
