Join us for a morning stroll as we seek out the Great Horned Owl. This is a prime window for spotting fuzzy owlets as they begin to explore the branches around their nests.
Our guide is local bird expert Cary Atwood, who will share fascinating insights into the secret lives of these majestic raptors. While our primary focus is the Great Horned family, Cary will also introduce you to other owl species that call our local woods home.
*Participants should be prepared to travel 1 mile. The route is fully wheelchair and mobility-aid accessible.
Field to Glass: A North Fork Valley Tasting Tour- FULL!

Join EUREKA! for a curated afternoon exploring the flavors of the North Fork Valley (around Paonia). We’ll start our journey at Western Culture Farmstead, where you’ll tour the creamery, meet the goats, and sample artisanal cheeses. Next, we’ll head to Storm Cellars for a guided wine tasting overlooking the vineyard, followed by a relaxing dinner at the iconic Big B’s Delicious Orchards. It’s the perfect blend of agricultural science and local flavor!
Future of Flight: A Morning with Spirit Engineering

Take a step into the hangar and see where aviation history meets modern engineering. Join EUREKA! for an exclusive tour of Spirit Engineering, where they are reviving the dream of affordable flight. Inspired by the sleek, all-metal monoplanes of the mid-20th century, Spirit is building the SE-1—an aircraft designed to be as accessible as a new car. Come see the craftsmanship and science behind these incredible machines!

Overnight Trip Lottery for 2026
New for 2026! For all overnight trips, EUREKA! is utilizing a lottery system. This allows for equity in the registration process.
Use this form to enter into a lottery for any of the six EUREKA! Explorations Overnight trips for 2026. The lottery is open from January 12-21, 2026
Lottery preference is not determined by the time that you fill out this form as long as it is submitted by midnight on January 21.
- Participants will be notified of lottery results by January 26th.
- Participants only need to fill out this form one time.
- Spouses who enter the lottery will be guaranteed accommodations for two people, one bed. Only one spouse needs to submit lottery entry, but please list both names on the first question.

For trips requiring airfare, we’ll provide a recommended flight itinerary and a ticket purchasing event at EUREKA! Participants on international trips are required to have travel insurance.
Please note that meal costs are not included unless specified.
Refunds for Explorations trip reservations cancelled within two months of trip date are subject to non-refundable trip fees (such as tickets and reservations paid by EUREKA!) and standard processing fees that will be deducted from registration refund. Cancellations within one month of trip date are non-refundable.
If EUREKA! must cancel a trip, full refunds will be processed.
