September 16-17: Wildlife Researchers 101

What's it like to be a wildlife researcher? In this camp we will be able to experience all of the ins and outs of what it takes to learn about wildlife! Field trips in this camp will include bird banding with the Grand Valley Audubon Society, and hiking in Colorado National Monument.

October 14-16: Harvest Days

Come out to the CSU Western Colorado Research Center for this exciting two day camp! Spend the mornings in the veggie garden and peach orchards. Then, turn your harvest into delicious dishes. Learn a thing or two along the way about where our food comes from and how to build a healthy diet. Campers will come home with food so they can cook at home for their families too!

November 25-27: Fairy Tale STEAM

Bibbidy, bobbidy, boo! Build a pumpkin carriage to the ball or Captain Hook’s pirate ship. Make a braid of hair long enough to climb or a pot of porridge that’s juuuuuust right. Together, we’ll read fairy tales and attempt some of their magical creations. In this camp, your imagination is limitless

December 2: Paper Plane Engineering

What makes a paper airplane fly the distance? How do I make that perfect spiral? Is there a way to make a paper airplane fly higher than a bird? Together, we’ll take a look at the aerodynamics behind the perfect paper airplane. We can even have contests to see whose paper airplanes fly the best!

'Tis the season to be STEAM-y! From homemade snow, to gingerbread house engineering, to DIY snow globes, this camp is full of fun-filled holiday activities with a STEAM twist. Walk with the animals, talk with the animals... What do animals need to live? You'll get the chance to "ask" them for yourself! Meet some amazing animals from our biology exhibits and explore what they need in order to survive. How are these the same or different from what you need? Put what you learn into action as you help care for animal homes around you!

December 30-January 3: Things That Go

Planes, trains, and automobiles...oh, my! From land to sea, we’ll learn to get from point A to point B. Whether powered by battery, engine, solar, or pedals, things go fast and far. While learning about these clever machines, campers will build their own models and make them go.


Does your child have Fridays off of school? Enroll him/her in our Friday STEAM Camps! The camps will have a different STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) focus each week PLUS students will have time to work on homework and receive tutoring help from staff. Save up to 20% by enrolling your child for ALL Friday STEAM Camps at once, or check our website one week in advance for daily camp availability and registration.
