Friday STEAM


Does your child have Fridays off of school? Enroll them in our Friday STEAM Camps! The camps will have a different STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) focus each week. As an added bonus, students will have time to work on homework and receive tutoring help from staff! Save up to 10% by enrolling your child for ALL Friday STEAM Camps this spring!

December 23-24: Winter Holiday STEAM 200

'Tis the season to be STEAM-y! From homemade snow, to gingerbread house engineering, to DIY snow globes, this camp is full of fun-filled holiday activities with a STEAM twist. Campers will also be able to take their holiday creations home at the end of the camp! Come join us for our STEAM winter Wonderland!

December 26-27: Animal Investigation

Walk with the animals, talk with the animals... What do animals need to live? Meet some amazing animals from EUREKA!'s biology section and study some other cool creatures as you explore what they need in order to survive. Put what you learn into action as you help care for animal homes around you!

Investors are looking for the newest products to fund! Put on your creative problem solving hat, as you learn about product design, and develop your own unique product during this camp! In one week, you could be the CEO of a company making you millions! So, will investors be in or out?

January 6-7: Dinosaur Valley

Wake up in a time before man. Explore the world of the dinosaurs and what the land they called home looked like. Students will step into the role of a Paleontologist and learn all about these ancient creatures that once roamed the land, sea, and sky. From when they were stomping around, to seeing their footprints in rocks today, there is so much exciting science to learn!

January 20: Roller Coaster Physics

Did you know most roller coasters do not have an engine? They move using physics! Get ready for a wild, fun day where EUREKA! will immerse you in all the secrets to the physics of amusement parks! Learn the engineering and physics behind your favorite amusement park rides so next time you are there you can wow your friends with all you know!

February 17: Go to the Moon!

During this camp students will become astronauts in training! Launch into space with explorations of aerospace concepts and technology. Design air foils, explore how atmospheric science affects flight through the launch of a weather balloon, learn how astronauts eat in space and so much more! Apply all that you are learning with hands-on activities. In this camp, the sky is not the limit, it is the starting line!

March 12-13: Detective Training

Have you ever wondered what happens in forensic labs during an investigation? Campers will become crime scene investigators who search for clues, make observations, crack codes, collect scientific evidence, and solve a crime! Through hands-on lab tests, students will learn how investigators match crime scene DNA to suspects, take fingerprints, and much more. Put the pieces of the puzzle together and it all adds up to a fun learning experience!

March 16-20: Cardboard Arcade

Have you ever looked at a pinball machine and thought I could make that! Well after this camp you can! Learn about the science of these games from simple machines to circuits. At the end put all of your building skills to the test and build your own cardboard arcade game. Think you have what it takes to get the high score?

May 21-22: Operation Human Body

"What exactly is a heartbeat? What propels our bodies when we jump? Are there really butterflies in your stomach when you get nervous? Exercise your brain and body at EUREKA! In this camp you will learn the anatomy of your own body and find out the mechanisms behind motions you perform.
